About us

From Thrifted Boots to New Rock Revival

NRKSHOP started in 2023, born out of my love for giving old things new life. I’m Simas, the person behind it, and it all began with a beat-up pair of boots I found in a thrift shop. They were headed for the trash, but I saw potential. With some polish, glue, and a bit of patience, I fixed them up - cleaning scuffed leather, restitching loose seams, and turning something discarded into something worth wearing again.

Each pair I worked on felt like it had a story to tell, and I got hooked on saving them. Then I found New Rock. I came across a pair of their vintage boots from the 90s at a second-hand market - chunky, bold, with that unmistakable goth-punk vibe. They were built to last, crafted by the Ortuño family in Spain, and they had this raw, rebellious energy I couldn’t resist. I started hunting for more, tracking down rare models that felt like relics of a bolder era. What began as a side project turned into a mission: restore these boots and share their history with others. Picture my small apartment, cluttered with leather balm, spray cans, and stacks of New Rocks. Friends started calling me the “Boot Head” and asking me to fix up their old pairs. That’s when NRKSHOP took shape—a place for people who love things with character, things that last.

What NRKSHOP Stands For:

At NRKSHOP, we’re not just selling boots; we’re pushing back against fast fashion. Every pair we offer is either a carefully restored second-hand find or a rare, unused deadstock piece from decades past. We hunt down vintage New Rocks from the ‘80s and ‘90s, saving them from being forgotten or thrown out. While fast fashion pumps out trends that fall apart, we’re bringing back boots built to endure, each with its own history and quirks. This is about more than just selling stuff. It’s about valuing quality over quantity, celebrating what’s unique, and doing our part to keep things out of landfills. NRKSHOP is for anyone who wants to wear something real, something with a story, and take a stand against disposable culture. Join us, and let’s give fast fashion the boot - one restored pair at a time.
